Had to babysit for a mate last night/this morning (she brought him over at 3am) because she had a family emergency and no one to watch her kid. She just picked him up. NEVER AGAIN. Was all fine at first!

She brought his camp bed over and everything and he was just sat in it reading his book because he couldn’t sleep, so I was on my laptop all tralalala! Then I go to the bathroom. When I come back he is MELTING THE LID OF MY FISH TANK WITH A LIGHTER. Where did he get this lighter? I do not know. He’s 9. He should not have one.

So I FREAKED OUT started opening windows in case the smoke alarms go off and he just says “It’s OK, I do it all the time.” ALL THE TIME. Did no one think to warn me about this?! I also s=noticed today I have a rather singed photo next to the tank.
