My patronus is the inseparable bond that holds together the amazing group of people that I’m a part of - we call ourselves the “Marauders.” We’re a group of people that was brought together by HPAFTW, we made our own chat, just to have a voice chat, not even intending for that to last more than an hour. There ended up being one eight+ hour voice chat that day, and we never realized or could possibly predict that we’d never stop talking, we’d only become significantly closer and would come to add others, too. 

Each one of them is someone I admire, they all inspire me in their own unique way. We’re such a tight-knit family who never hesitates to tell each other how much we love each other, to the fullest meaning of the word. We can tell each other anything at all that’s on our minds, good or bad, without any fear. I can fangirl and ramble on, and they’ll let me, they’ll listen, they’ll legitimately care about me.

The fact that all of us managed to be stuck with one another still baffles me, it’s almost too good to be true. There’s so many occasions where they make me laugh so hard that I literally can’t breathe, so many inside jokes that I’m sure everyone thinks we’re out of our minds when they see our conversations. Everyone’s so incredibly wise and helpful, when it’s one person giving amazing advice, another being comforting… And another person making you stand up tall and proud and yell “I AM A PICKLE” out loud.

I feel blessed to have these people all in my life, it’s changed everything for me. I’ll randomly start laughing when remembering a conversation from the Skype chat, I’ve been smiling a lot the past few days, something that hasn’t happened in months, my normal facial expression has been a complete frown. I can honestly say that I don’t know what on earth I’d do without the Marauders, it’s scary to think about not having them in my life, they’re what keeps me going daily, the reason I have enough strength to get out of bed every morning. They’re my patronus. :)
